Three Dog Night was an American rock and roll band active from 1968 to 1975. Their first gold record was "One" in 1969, followed by "Easy To Be Hard" from the musical Hair. They had three number one songs: "Mama Told Me Not to Come," "Joy to the World", and "Black and White". The band included three lead vocalists — Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron, and Cory Wells — and Michael Allsup on guitar, Floyd Sneed on drums, Joe Schermie (from the Cory Wells Blues Band) on bass, and Jimmy Greenspoon on keyboards. The band was the protegé of Beach Boys producer, composer, vocalist, and instrumentalist Brian Wilson, and at the time went under the name Redwood.

Ain't That A Lot Of Love Lyrics

Three Dog Night

(W.D. ParkerH. Banks)
I know the desert can't hold all the love
That I feel in my heart for you,
If I could spell it out across the sea,
I know my love would cover it up.
Ain't that a lotta love
For one heart to hold.
If the bees only knew how sweet you are, baby,
They would seal up their honeycomb.
If the birds could hear how sweet your voice is
They would tighten up their song.
(Ain't that a lotta love)
Ain't that a lotta love
For one heart to hold.
Your lips are so sweet honey, you're my ev'ry need,
You got a, ha, a smile so rare, a smile, girl, I can't compare.
Ain't that a lotta love, yeah.
If the cooks in the kitchen had a touch as hot as yours
They wouldn't need a fire, ha.
If the words in the world could describe you better
They wouldn't need the skys above.
Ain't that a lotta love
Ain't that a lotta love for one heart to hold.
Ain't that a lotta love
Ain't that a lotta love
Ain't that a lotta love
Ain't that a lotta love
Ain't that a lotta love
